Brine for BBQ Meats

Brining adds flavor and helps retain moisture in meats as they are cooked. Brining is recommended for any meats prior to BBQ.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon(s) Water
  • 1 cup(s) Salt
  • 1 cup(s) Sugar
  • 1 cup(s) Dark Molasses
  • 1 cup(s) Soy Sauce
  • Fresh Sage, Dehydrated Garlic, Marjoram and pepper to taste

Preparation

Put all ingredients into a large pot and bring to boil. Cool quickly with ice and submerge meat in the brine mix. Cover and keep coool in a portable cooler for 24 to 36 hours.
