Ingredients
- 6 slices bread
- butter or marg.
- 1 1/2 c (6 oz.) shredded cheese
- 6 eggs beaten
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb. sausage
Preparation
- Remove crusts from bread, spread bread slices with butter. Place in a greased 13 x 9 in. dish. Brown and crumble sausage. Drain well. Spoon over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine eggs, half and half and pour over cheese. Cover casserole and chill overnight.
- Remove from refrig 15 min. before baking. Bake at 350, uncovered, for 45 min. or until set.
