  • 1 cup(s) All Bran Cereal
  • 1 cup(s) boiling water
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 1/2 cup(s) flour
  • 1 cup(s) lukewarm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 cup(s) shortening
  • 3/4 cup(s) sugar
  • 2 package(s) yeast


  1. Combine All Bran and sugar in a large bowl. Measure shortening into the boiling water & add to All Bran mixture. Stir until shortening is melted.

  2. Put yeast in with warm water. Add to All Bran mixture and add eggs; stir. Add salt; stir. Add flour until mixture is no longer gooey (sticky).

  3. Place on floured board and knead until elastic. Beat with rolling pin until smooth. Place in greased bowl in warm place (i.e. dishwasher) until doubled. Either beat down again and let rise again or roll out & make rolls. Put oil on cookie sheet. coat each side of rolls with oil & fold over. Bake at 375-400 until brown.
