Braised Chicken with Mushrooms and Chard

    I loooove this recipe. The peppers are a must. I use pickled pepers and cut them in half.

    Very delicious. I used a whole fryer chicken, browned it an put it in the slow cooker, then added the remaining ingredients minus the flour. I only used 1 cup of liquid, cooked it on high for 1.5 hours and on low for 1.5 hours. So good and tender. Next time I would use either more apples or use a tart apple. Liked the apple bites.
