This dish was perfect for an easy weeknight meal. I've never done thighs before, but they turned out excellently. I will definitely make it again. So tasty!

Could not have asked for an easier, better tasting slow cooker recipe!

I made this today for dinner and I liked it very much. It reminds me of a stew-like meal. I am a big fan of thigh meat chicken so this really was my type of comfort food. If you like stews and dark meat chicken, then you will love this. I will make this again.

This was edible but not an exciting flavorful dish. Chicken was dry and it was nothing out of the ordinary. Kind of lame. Would not take the time to make for guests or add it to our dinner rotation. If you're looking for your family to ask for seconds try a different recipe.

Fantastic! With one picky teen, toddler and two parents in need of a good meal - this is the ticket! Everyone was going back for more. The chicken is to tender, it was perfect to chop together as a complete mixture of goodness for my toddler...bonus!

I ended up with a kind of oily mess without a lot of flavor.

Terrible is all I can say about this dish. The chicken was dry, which is hard to do to thighs, the flavor was really bland too. I made it exactly like the recipe said. I'm thinking 8 hours in the crockpot is way too long, but even with less cooking time, there would still be the issue of no taste. My family is not picky but we all hated it.

I made this exactly as written and found it very bland.

The chicken was delicious. I would recommend cooking it an hour longer to ensure the chicken is completely cooked. Baby carrots are not as good as a normal carrot cut into 2 inch pieces. I think "baby" carrots are really whole large carrots made to look like baby carrots. I will definatelly make this again.

This dish was great in the sense that you didn't need to pre heat anything on the stove before putting it into the slowcooker, it was a true slowcooker meal. The chicken came out soft and moist and fell right off the bone, I really can't complain about how that came out, the only thing I would do differently next time is maybe add a little more seasoning to the chicken and the stock with the potatoes and carrots, my boyfriend really enjoyed this meal, I will definitely try it again with a little more seasoning next time :) soapnights.com

I thought this recipe was just ok. It definitely needs tweaking in the seasoning department - I found it fairly bland. The chicken, carrots and potatoes were cooked perfectly and with some added salt and pepper it was ok. I thought the spice rub for the chicken needed a major overhaul, so I would do something different next time - rosemary and fresh garlic maybe. Served this with garlic bread and a spinach salad. Good, basic recipe - just needs individualized tweaking.

Tasty dish, but the thighs seemed dried out. Next time I will layer it differently.

I really liked this dish. It was so simple. I will make it again. Even though the chicken was spiced nicely, I agree with some other reviewers that the vegetables needed a little extra spice, whether it be more thyme, salt and pepper or even some ground red pepper for a little zip. All in all though, it was still a good dish.

This is really good. Easy to prepare and my family loved it. While preparing for next weeks dinner menu, my husband requested I make this again!

I enjoyed this and the vegetables were good. It needed some tweaking in the seasoning dept but all in all a good recipe.

Braised means that you fry the thighs on all sides hot and fast, and then add to the pot. That is what I did with this recipe so it would meet the definition of the title...
