Bourbon or Rum Balls
- 3 cups vanilla wafers, finely crushed (not quite a whole box)
- 1 cup confectioners sugar, measured after sifting
- 2 TB cocoa, sifted
- 2 cups pecans or walnuts, finely chopped
- 3 Tbs corn syrup
- Splash of vanilla
- 1/2 cup bourbon or rum
- Sift confectioners sugar and then sift cocoa. Mix together well with a whisk. Stir in vanilla wafers, chopped nuts, corn syrup, vanilla and bourbon. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in confectioners sugar. Store in a container with a tight fitting lid in a cool place.
