Bourbon-Glazed Ham

Yield Makes 8 to 10 servings
1 (10-pound) fully cooked smoked ham

  • 3/4 cup whole cloves
  • 3/4 cup bourbon or apple juice
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 2 navel oranges, sliced

How to Make It

  1. Wrap ham in aluminum foil, and place in a lightly greased 13- x 9- inch pan.

  2. Bake at 325° for 2 hours. Remove ham from oven, and increase temperature to 450°.

  3. Unwrap ham; discard foil. Remove skin and excess fat from ham. Make 1/4-inch-deep cuts in a diamond design, and insert cloves at 1-inch intervals.
