I guess I prefer my meat savory rather than sweet, because I didn't find this to be as good as other reviewers did. The recipe is simple enough and the flavor was good (the meat marinated for 10+ hours), but there are other flank steak recipes I like much better.

This is an easy tasty recipe. Made as is except forgot the green onions. Used flank steak this time but can easily see this working with pork. Served it with garlic roasted baby potatoes and broccoli slaw. In a word, yum.

This flank steak recipe is outstanding! I broiled it, and it came out juicy and delicious. The flavor is great! I used a whole grain dijon, and it added a nice texture to the sauce. I'll definitely make this one again!

I followed the recipe to a "t" but we didn't like it. My hubbie and I thought it was too sweet and the sauce had a raw alcohol flavor. If you're still going to try the recipe, I recommend you boil the marinade before adding the cornstarch so as too burn off the alcohol.

This is excellent. Beef just melts in your mouth like candy. Can't wait to make it again.

Wow. This was decadent, felt like a gourmet meal and was so easy. The only thing I will do next time is decrease the soy sauce so it isn't quite as salty. I also used new your strip as it was on sale at the store, but will certainly try the flank steak or another cut.

This steak is AMAZING! I have made this recipe over and over again for special occasions. I chose to serve this when I cooked for a friend of mines family and he is now my fiancee. I am not saying this steak sealed the deal but it was a huge hit and it was super easy to serve at the party.

Hands down, one of the best CL recipes ever!

I make this recipe every year for our vacation with extended family- because they request it every year! It's easy to prepare and a hit every time.

Even though I thought the sauce was a little too salty I'm giving this recipe 5 stars because the steak was OUTSTANDING! Next time I make it I'm just going to discard the marinade rather than make it into sauce-- the steak is fantastic on its own.

Fantastic recipe! Super easy to make, but it's a 5-star dish! I just made this recipe for my anniversary dinner with my husband, and it turned out so well, we were happy we stayed in! As another reviewer mentioned, I thought the sauce was a bit strong in flavor, but my husband raved about it, so I think next time I'll omit the sauce just for my plate. I served the steak with the mashed chive potatoes as indicated - wow! Also roasted some seasoned asparagus as another side. Break open a great bottle of red wine, light a candle and enjoy a restaurant-flavored dish at home. So simple, but great complexity -no changes were made to this recipe from start to finish except for the bourbon - used honey whiskey as that's what I had on hand. Fantastic!

An easy and good recipe. I was only able to marinate the meat for about 3-4 hours but it still had good flavor. I broiled it (too cold and snow in Ohio) to BBQ and that was fine but would have been better flavor grilled. The potatoes were a little on the pasty side but flavor was good. Served with a salad.

This was only OK. I found the flavor strange. I did forget the green onion, and it did a bit of a bite that the onions would have added.
