Blue Cheese-Pecan Phyllo Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 8 ounce(s) Package of cream cheese, softened
  • 2. 2.1 ounce(s) Packages baked miniature phyllo dough shells (30) shells
  • 4 ounce(s) Blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/3 cup(s) Dried tart cherries, snipped pecans
  • Sugared Pecans
  • Honey optional

Preparation

  1. In a medium bowl, stir the cream cheese until smooth. Spoon the cream cheese evenly into the phyllo shells. Top with blue cheese and cherries. Sprinkle with Sugared Pecans. If desired drizzle with honey.

  3. Spread 1/3 cup chopped pecans in the bottom of a medium skillet. Sprinkle with 1 tbs. of sugar and 1/4 tsp. of salt. Cook without stirring over medium heat. When sugar begins to melt, turn heat to medium low. Gently stir pecans until all sugar is melted and pecans are lightly coated. Transfer pecans to a foil-lined baking sheet; cool. To serve, break apart
