I fixed this for a late breakfast and my husband thought it was very good. I followed the instructions exactly. I toasted the sourdough slices on both sides which made it a little difficult to cut. I think I will try another bread next time and only toast one side. It makes a very pretty presentation. I will definitely make it again. Great flavors.

Made this for dinner, and it was wonderful. Didn't have grape tomatoes, so diced a vine ripe one instead, probably added a little extra juice to the relish. Did the egg over easy, rather than poached. This was a great blend of salty, sweet crunch. Will definately make it again!!!

Wonderful recipe! I've made it 4 times now...twice for brunch and twice for dinner. Both my husband and teenage son raved over it. The basil and arugula with the avocado is delicious! Pretty enough for company too. Yum!

I substituted seasoned rice wine vinegar for the red wine vinegar. Then thick sliced ham (leftover glazed spiral ham from Easter) heated through, in a non-stick skillet, rather than the bacon. And then substituted an english muffin for the bakery bread. This is one of my favorite weekend dishes to make! Love it!

I made this for myself for lunch so I can't say the proportions were exactly right....I picked the basil and the arugula from my garden...used a poached egg and served it over one half of a pretzel croissant!! It was delicious. I can't wait to make this for guests. Try this you won't be sorry!
