Blond Brownie Mix

Yield 8 1/3 cups


  • 1 (16-ounce) package light brown sugar
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut
  • 1 cup golden raisins

How to Make It

  1. Layer ingredients in order in an airtight 2-quart glass container. Store in a cool, dry place up to 2 months.

  2. Directions for gift card: Beat 3 large eggs; 1/2 cup butter, softened; and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract at medium speed with a mixer until blended; gradually add Blond Brownie Mix, beating until blended. Spoon into a greased and floured 13- x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes; reduce temperature to 325°, and bake 25 more minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares. Makes 16 brownies.
