    I have made these several times for potlucks and 4th of July bbq and everyone loves them. Agree that you can cut back the sugar & bbq sauce to your own liking, as they are a little on the sweet side. Have mixed beans: black, white, pinto, kidney etc, and in a pinch used 2 cans of Bush's bbq baked beans, but it's the chipotle that makes these so special.

    I ended up using canned baked beans and regular mustard and it was AWESOME!!!!!!! EVERYONE loved it. I had leftovers and my son ate them for breakfast. I highly recommend this recipe to EVERYONE!!!!

    Used 2 cans navy beans and one can Great Northern; halved everything else. Very tasty and SPICY! Those chipotles pack some heat. Served with Barbecued Pork Tenderloin, Corn Fritter Casserole and Peanutty Slaw. Great meal.

    We love these baked beans! I never buy the ready made anymore (Bush). These are the only baked beans I prepare for our cookouts.

    This is a great recipe! I made one batch for an RV campout with about 20 people, there wasn't a bean leftover! I used Stubb's BBQ sauce and a red onion. Delish!

    I couldn't find the chipotle in adobo sauce in London, so used dried chipotle's soaked in some boiling water, everything else was the same........everyone at the BBQ loved the flavour! definite hit and will make again.

    My go-to recipe for baked beans. Love the added 'kick' from the peppers. If you don't like spicy, cut back on the adobo.

    I would take this to any pot luck or bbq without hesitation. I served mine with hot dogs for a weeknight meal.

    The adults loved these beans at our 4th of July cookout. They were too spicy for the pre-teens. I will make this again, but cut down on the chipotle chiles by half.
