Grilled steak is a favorite summer dish. Serve with grilled corn with lime butter and a simple salad of field greens and cherry tomatoes.
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons hot paprika
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 (2-pound) flank steak, trimmed
How to Make It
Combine first 7 ingredients; rub spice mixture over both sides of steak. Cover and refrigerate 3 hours.
Place steak on grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 5 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
