    This has great flavor for a light cake. I would recommend using parchment paper in the pans to get the layers out easily. I also added red food coloring to the cherries I had, since they weren't very red. It looks fantastic when all put together!

    I thought this cake presented very nicely. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make. My only thought was that the cake was a bit dry.

    Be warned this recipe will fail. The proportions of liquid, flour, and leavening are off. Do not even attempt to bake this without lining the pan with parchment paper, because the sugar crusts on the bottom and outside of the cake. If all you do is spray the bottom of the pan with cooking spray, it will NOT come out.
