Arrange fresh strawberries, cubed pineapple, and pear slices on a serving platter as healthy dippers. For more decadent dippers, serve pretzel rods, large marshmallows, biscotti, or cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies.
1 (11.5-ounce) package double chocolate chips (we tested with Ghirardelli) or 3 (4-ounce) bars bittersweet or dark sweet chocolate
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave on HIGH for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, stirring once. Let stand 2 minutes. Stir with a wire whisk until smooth. Keep warm in a fondue pot.
