Ingredients

  • 3 cup(s) peaches sliced and peeled
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoon(s) unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup(s) sugar
  • 2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • dash(es) salt
  • 1 cup(s) skim milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup(s) raw sugar

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Place the butter in a 8 in square baking dish.
  3. Stick the pan in the oven to melt the butter.
  4. In a small bowl, Combine the peach slices, lemon juice and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Set aside.
  5. In a larger bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.
  6. Whisk the milk and vanilla extract together.
  7. Pour the liquid over the flour mixture and stir together, Don't over mix.
  8. Pour the batter onto the butter in the baking dish.
  9. Spoon the peaches evenly over the batter.
  10. Bake for 40 min.
  11. Sprinkle the top with the raw sugar and bake for another 15 minutes until golden brown.
