How to Make It

Step 1

Prepare dough and fry in hot oil according to New Orleans Beignets instructions or beignet mix directions to make 24 beignets. (Do not sprinkle with powdered sugar after frying.) Cool completely, about 20 minutes.

Step 2

Using a serrated knife, cut beignets in half parallel to work surface. Scoop about 1/3 cup ice cream onto bottom half of each beignet. Cover with top halves. Dust sandwiches with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with toppings, if desired.
