Yield: 1 1/4 cups
- 1 1/2 cups loosely packed fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 3/4 cup olive oil
- Process first 6 ingredients in a blender until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides. Turn blender on high; add 3/4 cup olive oil in a slow, steady stream.
