Basil Oil

Yield Makes about 1/2 cup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup firmly packed fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper

How to Make It

  1. Process basil leaves in a food processor 1 minute or until smooth, stopping twice to scrape down sides. With processor running, slowly pour oil in a thin stream through food chute. Add salt and white pepper.
