- 12 cup(s) sift, unbleached flour or half whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) salt
- 4 cup(s) shortening
- Sift flour with salt into a very large bowl. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or fork until the mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal. Store in a tightly covered container in a cool place. YIELD: 18 cups (about nine 2 crust 8-inch pies)
