- 1 cup(s) unsalted butter (veg shortening when pure white is needed) room temp
- 1/2 cup(s) milk room temp
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
- 2 pound(s) confectioners' sugar
- Mix at slow speed until smooth. If stiffer frosting is needed, cut back on milk. Makes 6 cups, enough to cover a 9-inch round two layer cake.
