- 9 cup(s) Sifted unbleached flour or 10 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/3 cup(s) baking powder
- 1 teaspoon(s) cream of tarter
- 1 tablespoon(s) salt
- 2 cup(s) shortening
- Stir together dry ingredients. Sift into large bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Do not pack down. Use as called for in recipes such as Coffee Cake, Applesauce Bread, Muffins and Banana Bread etc.,
- YIELD: Approx. 13 cups of mix.
