Basic Barbecued Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 (3 1/2- to 4-pound) broiler-fryer, quartered

How to Make It

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients; stir well. Place chicken, skin side down, on grill. Grill over medium coals 50 to 60 minutes or until tender, turning chicken every 10 minutes. Brush with sauce during last 20 minutes.
