Barbecue Sirloin and Blue Cheese Salad

Easy & quick & sirloin was on sale. Prepped the beef and salad earlier in the day, so everything came together effortlessly at dinnertime. Served CL's blueberry-peach galette for dessert.

This was delicious. Hands down one of my favorite salads. I roasted red, yellow and orange peppers and used a combination of that. I also added 2 tsp of real maple syrup to the dressing to cut some of th acidity of the mustard and added a little bit of chopped chives to the dressing because I had them on hand. DELICIOUS. I really like the idea of some portobello mushrooms instead of the cucumber (or in addition).

I had to give this recipe two stars - it does have potential, but something was wrong. The spice mixture on the steak was delicious and the dressing was tasty (needs 2TBS EVOO) - but it didn't all work together. I think I would have taken the salad apart - served the steak, along side baby potatoes and the salad on the side.

This went over really well! I used 2 lbs. of sirloin steak so I doubled the spice rub. The steak was really flavorful, and we thought the flavors of the steak and salad went together well. I couldn't find Bibb lettuce at my grocery store, so I used packaged romaine instead, and I used reduced-fat blue cheese. I served this alongside French bread broiled for 2 minutes with melted butter--yum!

The dressing was a tad to mustard-y for my taste, but good, easy salad!

YUM! This was easy and very flavorful. I didn't measure the lettuce and used half of the dressing on 1 salad. I'll just make more for the leftovers. Delish!

Delicious; a quick and easy meal. I was a little leary about adding a rub to the steak but it added a nice flavor. I served it with boiled potatoes but it would also be good with fresh bread. I'll definitely make it again.

Easy, delicious dinner salad. The flavors work great together and the blue cheese adds the perfect amount of zing. Served with a whole grain dinner roll and a glass of red wine.

Delicious and simple; easy to adjust. I used flank steak and the salad veggies I had on hand (yellow bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, and bagged "italian" salad). I cut the amount of dressing to 3/4 what was called for. I served with whole wheat crackers but recommend a hearty bread. I'll definitely make it again, maybe as the first course for a dinner party.

Excellent. The steak rub complements the blue cheese. I liked the salad vinaigrette but it would be easy to substitute a bottled dressing. I substituted baby portabellos for the cucumbers and used whatever bell peppers I had. Worked great.

This was awesome! However, my husband and I alone ate this entire recipe that was supposed to be for four.But we're big eaters. It was so good! I did the steak on the grill and it turned out great!!

This is one of my favorite salads. The vinaigrette dressing is perfect. Its a great summer dish and one that my entire family loves.

This was refreshing on a hot, summer evening. I grilled the steak on our Traeger BBQ and didn't have to heat up the house at all. Delicious, quick, and easy. A few cherry tomatoes would have been a nice addition. Will add those next time.

Love this salad. For some reason the spicy steak really works with the mustard dressing. We use this recipe ALL the time and just love this salad!

Sooo good! The rub on the steak and the blue cheese really gave this salad a lot of flavor. This was easy to pull together, healthy, and felt like a filling meal since it included the steak. I will definitely be making this again!
