Banana Pudding

It always amazes me that someone would take the time to review a recipe they haven't tried. The one star reviews are bogus, don't believe them. This recipe is awesome! Just make sure you let the pudding cool slightly before assembling, as it cooks the bananas if you don't.

I have not made this and will not. You can look at the ingredents and see it a looser. If you're going to make Banana Pudding make it real cream vanilla wafers and all the other fat stuff a pudding needs. If you're scared of fat then don't make it.

I am so surprised the first review was 5 stars. This is the worst banana pudding recipe I have ever made. It is not very sweet, or rich, and I will definitely not make it again. You can tell by the taste that it is missing something (such as flavor?). Save yourself the trouble and do not make this! Just substitute light ingredients in your fave banana pudding recipe instead.

    Rich, creamy, wonderful.

I just made this last night and my family and I agree it was worthy of using a boxed mix. I did cheat a little since I did not have the items on hand. I used regular condensed milk and regular vanilla wafers. The pudding so far is the best where from scratch is concerned. Maybe the low starred reviewers should try using what I used since it sounds like they like richer food.

Wonderful! My family loved this and it tasted just like grandma's. I used regular vanilla wafers and 2% milk instead of the reduced fat that was listed. I also made it in and 8x8 glass baking dish. This is a recipe that I will keep.

I made this dessert over the 4th of July for my family and it was outstanding. A long time southener my mother made this often when I was growing up but I had never tried to make it myself. This recipe was easy (I made the 8x8 size) and it was gone in no time! Everyone loved it including my mom. I will definetly make it again

This recipe is perfect! I'm sad that the 2 1-star reviews bring the overall rating down because you need to try this recipe if you're making banana pudding. Tastes authentic -- just like a good 'ole southern meat 'n three restaurant would have -- and is fairly easy to make. It's my go-to, and I'm never using any other banana pudding recipe again.

First, I haven't made this recipe BUT I do make banana pudding all the time. I accidentally picked up reduced-fat vanilla wafers one day and I've found they hold up better than regular ones, so I'd encourage you to try this recipe. I'm going to.
