Banana-Date Crème Brûlée

    This was terrible. I have tried several low fat creme brûlée and creme caramel recipes and they don't taste good. Next will try making them with whole milk and if that comes out bad, real cream is the only way to go.

    Love that it's grain free. I used 4 whole eggs in this recipe and it was fine - might be lighter as written tho. I used 12 oz evaporated whole milk. I also substituted the 2 T of sugar with 2T of honey. Used raw cane sugar for the brûlée. I didn't have much luck melting the sugar under the broiler and it burned the edges of the creme. I may look for a little creme brûlée torch for future attempts.
