Place sugar and cream cheese in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add banana and eggs; beat until well blended. Add the baking mix and walnuts, and stir just until moist.
Pour batter into a 9-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray; bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Tent bread with foil, and bake an additional 15 minutes.or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes on a wire rack; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.
Not sure what I did wrong here. I did use 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese as my market didn't carry fat free. I used 3 mashed ripe bananas but the texture came out gummy and the bread didn't rise as well as I had hoped. I probably won't make this again because CL has much better banana bread recipes.
This bread is so quick & easy to make. I make it for my family/friends & it always comes out delicious! I use the Heart Healthy Bisquick mix and 3 bananas. Sometimes I add vanilla & chocolate chips to change it up a bit. I make at least 1 loaf each Sunday â love this recipe!
