Keep a stash of frozen bananas--they're great in smoothies because they add flavor and body.

Ingredients

  • 1 large frozen banana, peeled and broken into pieces
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup plain yogurt or milk
  • 1 tablespoon wheat germ (optional)

Preparation

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients and wheat germ, if desired, in a blender; cover and blend on low until coarsely chopped. Blend on high until smooth.
