If you add 2 or 3 T. of tabasco, this is a good recipe. It needs that little extra kick. I would also use more sharp cheddar and less gouda...just my thought.

I leave out the ham and use Montery Jack cheese in place of the Guoda but the corn flakes give it a great flavor!

I love Macaroni and Cheese. I would, however, leave off the cornflakes and use bread crumbs instead.

We really liked this. Good family dinner for my husband and three kids. The cheese didn't get "gloppy" like some homemade mac and cheese.

Not really impressed. It was just "ok" but definitely could have had more flavor. The 3 cheeses just didn't seem to do it for me. I wouldn't make it again.

YUM! I made the broccoli and ham version. My 6 year old practically inhaled it =)

I thought this was pretty good! My adjustments were; I cooked pepper bacon in the dutch oven and then added the butter and flour to the bacon grease for the cheese sauce, then added the bacon to the cheese along with the ham. Then I added about 2 cups MORE Cheddar cheese... it just didn't seem to be enough to the recipe and then added some chopped jalapeños. Next time, I will stick to just sharp cheddar. I served it with steamed broccoli and baked pita chips.

I really enjoyed this for a change from my usual macaroni & cheese recipe. I wasn't so sure about the cream cheese, but you don't taste the cream cheese in it. I thought the smoked gouda was what made it so special. I used a top-quality smoked ham which I think makes a difference also in how good it turns out. My only substitution was panko crumbs in lieu of the cornflakes. I definitely think it's good enough to make again.

I substituted panko for the cornflakes and it was good. I'd recommend adding salt, reducing the cook time on the noodles so they aren't as mushy once it all bakes together. I also broiled it at the end to brown the topping. My family really liked this recipe. I personally thought it needed something. Maybe it wasn't cheesy enough. It was a little bland. But still worth making.

My family loved this Macaroni and cheese. Well worth making and if there are any left overs they are super delicious.

Rather bland. Maybe swap the Gouda and Cheddar amounts, I even had Extra Sharp. Added a dash of dry mustard and it still lacked taste, maybe it needed more salt. I did not add the ham, possibly the reason it tasted like it needed salt.
