- 1 1/2 cups regular grits, uncooked
- 3 cups water
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
How to Make It
Combine grits and water in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil ; reduce heat, and simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
