Baked bacon is an easy alternative to standing over the stove and dodging splattering grease. The bacon still turns out crispy and you avoid the hassle.

  • 1 pound thick-sliced bacon

Preparation

  1. Arrange bacon in a single layer in a 10- by 15-inch rimmed pan. Bake in a 375° regular or convection oven until browned, 17 to 25 minutes, turning slices over after 10 minutes. Transfer bacon to towels to drain; discard fat in pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.
