Bacon-Wrapped Barbecue Burgers

    I followed another viewers advice and fried the bacon, then sauteed the onions and mushrooms in the bacon drippings. I just topped the burgers with the bacon instead of wrapping it around them, and then topped them with the onion mushroom mixture. One of the best burgers I've ever had!

    I found this an ok burger recipe... I think I would have preferred the stuffing just be the topping (and cheese would be excellent with it - although that would be heart attack on a bun). Think I would also prefer the bacon to just be on the top as well. The cooking time indicated is way too long

    I followed the advice of the other reviewer and fried the bacon in a skillet and then cooked the onions and mushroom in the bacon grease and just topped the burgers instead of stuffing them, turned out very good, my husband said it was like a restaurant burger, try this one!

    Amazing taste. I used my own BBQ sauce and made one without mushrooms for my husband. He loved his as well. Definately will serve to our children when they come over for "Family Night". Get the sesame seeded buns. Worth it.

    These came out yummy. My hubby loved them and wants to make them again even though we just had them 2 days ago. I didn't wrap them in bacon, just put the cooked bacon on top as another reviewer suggested. The mushroom onion topping was what really made them so good. Nice easy recipe for a week night. Probably not worthy of a special occasion (although my husband would probably disagree lol). I will definatly make again.

    These were awesome! I used fresh mushrooms though. I do not like canned mushrooms. Very simple recipe to make and so tasty. Would recommend.
