Bacon-Scented Broccoli

Bacon makes everything better! Crumbling a few pieces of the good stuff over this dish adds so much flavor while staying low on calories and fat.

Ingredients
- 12 ounces broccoli florets
- 2 slices center-cut bacon
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation
- Place broccoli florets in a large saucepan of boiling water. Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender; drain. Heat a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon; cook until crisp. Remove bacon slices from pan with a slotted spoon; crumble. Add broccoli, bacon, pepper, and salt to bacon drippings in pan; cook 1 minute, tossing to coat broccoli.
