- 6 slices bacon
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (29-ounce) can hominy, drained
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup, undiluted
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
How to Make It
Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove bacon, reserving drippings in skillet; crumble bacon, and set aside.
Sauté onion in bacon drippings until tender. Add bacon, hominy, soup, water, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
