Bacon, Gruyère, and Ham Strata

    This was pretty good. Light and fluffy, and of course the ham, bacon and gruyere are delicous. But once you eat the top containing those I felt like it could use something more. Maybe add a little more pepper next time.

    Excellent recipe. Used turkey ham, turkey bacon and whole wheat bread because it's what I had in the house. Delicious.

    There didn't seem to be enough milk because it just tasted like damp bread rather than the normal casserole consistancy. I wonder if it's because sourdough is so crisp and has so much crust that maybe it is very dependent on the type of loaf you choose. Sounded alot better than it tasted. Would not make again.
