Ingredients

  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground round
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded 2% reduced-fat sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3 slices center-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. 2. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring with a whisk. Stir in oats. Crumble beef over oat mixture; stir just until blended.
  3. 3. Shape mixture into an 8 x 4-inch loaf; place on rack of a broiler pan coated with cooking spray.
  4. 4. Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.
  5. 5. Combine 1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup and 1 teaspoon mustard; brush over loaf. Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until a thermometer registers 160°. Let stand 10 minutes; cut into 6 slices.
