    Delicious! I halved the recipe, which was a good amount for my husband and myself, with plenty of leftovers for the next day. I used skim milk and a fraction of the butter, and also mixed in 2 strips crumbled bacon before baking; I used another 1-2 strips for the top. The sage was very good. I think I'll make the whole recipe again for a brunch party soon.

    Got several compliments and a request for the recipe. I used salted butter along with the full tablespoon of salt, and the salt amount was just right. I used about a teaspoon of sage and a quarter tsp each of dill and thyme. Next time, I'll use more sage. Gives it a sausage-like flavor.
