Having just returned from Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas I can't wait to try these yummy sounding ribs. I will try the oven for mine. I'm curious, is the 807 calories really for one serving? That seems like a lot! Could someone check into this?

Joan: The 800 calories has to pertain to the meat. The recipe is for four people and calls for 2 slabs of ribs which would be 1/2 slab per person. That's a lot of ribs! The only other calories would be the sugar and you could use Splenda to cut down on those calories. I haven't tried the recipe yet but will soon. Hope this helps.

This is a very simple and delicious recipe. My family is very picky but they loved the ribs! I will definitely make it again and again.

These were very simple and had a crowd-pleasing flavor. I cooked my rack in the oven, and it took 2 1/2 hours, as opposed to the 1 1/2 the recipe suggested. Possibly the difference between my oven or my specific rack of ribs, but the result was definitely worth the wait. I might only recommend you choose sides that can be prepared ahead or done very last minute when you make this the first time in order to know what will work in your oven.
