Avocado Toast

  • 8 slice(s) favorite hearty bread
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, one end trimmed flat
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • crushed red pepper flakes


  1. 1. Grill or toast both sides of bread
  2. 2. Rub one side of each piece of bread with the cut end of a garlic clove
  3. 3. Top each with thin-sliced avocado
  4. 4. Sprinkle avocado with olive oil
  5. 5. Grind a bit of salt on top
  6. 6. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes
  7. 7. Serve-as-is for appetizer /or/ top with poached egg for breakfast
