My husband who is the picky eater of the family and more recently started eating avocado's, rated this a "10". I even used whole wheat panko! Will cook this again and as another reviewer said, try it with the parmesan cheese next time.

LOVE THIS! If you love avocados, you will really like this. We made them today for a snack while watching hockey. Mmm mmm good! Tasty, light, quick and easy to make. We were thinking next time we make it, we might sprinkle some fresh parm. cheese while it's hot.

I doubled the recipe and it took a couple of hours start to finish. I liked them but thought they were a little bland. I will sprinkle them with garlic powder and/or garlic salt prior to flouring next time!

Tried this out and it's a good base for something better. Definitely needs some more flavor, though I'm not sure what. A spicy, contrasting dip might work.

I had these for the first time in NYC at Toloache, and fell in love! I made these last night with baja fish tacos and they were amazing- just like the restaurant! TIP- use a thermometer for the oil temp, my first ones were a little dark (but still yummy!) the rest were perfect once the oil cooled slightly. GREAT recipe! Easy, and delicious. For best results ALWAYS use Panko- it makes a much more delicate crispy crust, I also used peanut oil and it worked very well. Pairs great with fish tacos, and tonight I'm making them with steak- I think I am addicted!

Made this recipe and enjoyed it very much. Made a sauce to accompany the avocado fries which consisted of a creamy ranch dressing with horseradish added to it. What a great combination!

These were Not good. I wish I'd just eaten the avocado plain. This recipe is a waste of time. I tried baking and frying the slices. Fried was infinitely better, though that's like comparing a solid turd to diarrhea. If you are determined to make these, go ahead, but don't say I didn't warn you. Pictured is blue cheese, but I ended up making a honey ginger hoisin dipping sauce which was way better than this shit. Seriously, they sucked.
