Ingredients
- Meatloaf
- 1 1/2 pound(s) ground chuck
- 1 teaspoon(s) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup(s) dried breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup(s) rolled oats, uncooked (or quick or old-fashioned)
- 1/4 cup(s) ketchup
- 1/2 medium onion (or 1-2 tsp onion flakes) finely chopped
- 1/2 medium bell pepper finely chopped
- 1 cup(s) grated cheese - your favorite
- 1 large egg lightly beaten
- 1/3 cup(s) milk
- Topping
- 1/4 cup(s) ketchup
- 1/4 cup(s) BBQ sauce
- 1 tablespoon(s) cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) worchestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
Preparation
- - Preheat over to 350 degrees F.
- - Line a shallow 9x13 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper.
- - Combine all meatloaf ingredients in large bowl and mix lightly until throughly combined.
- - Place mixture in middle of prepared baking pan and form into a 9x5 inch oval loaf.
- - Make an indentation along top center of loaf.
- -In a small bowl, whisk together all topping ingredients until well combined.
- - Cover meatloaf completely with topping.
- - Bake, uncovered for about 1 1/4 hours or until meat is no longer pink and reads 160 degrees F on a thermometer.
- - Let stand for 15 minutes.
