Sift the dry ingredients together. Place in large bowl and add remaining ingredients in order given, mixing well. Grease a 9x5x5 inch loaf pan and spoon batter into pan.
Bake about 75 to 90 minutes at 325 degrees, until bread pulls away from side of pan and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack. Remove. This bread freezes well.
