Apricot Filling

Recipe from

1 cup dried apricots, chopped
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1/4 teaspoon almond extract


Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan; stir well. Cover; cook over medium heat until liquid is absorbed and apricots are tender. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and extract.
