A great muffin! I had to use chunky cinnamon applesauce since that was the only chunky variety I could find. I think that just gave them more flavor. The batter looked a bit dry so I added an extra splash of oil and milk. It is still a very thick batter, but no worries, the muffins turn out great! I think the streusel topping is what makes the muffins so yummy!

Very easy to make using the baking mix, and quick, I made one morning before work, and have made several batches for the freezer, Good to freeze and serve later, just thaw, and warm wrapped in foil in oven, for 10-15 minutes at 350, open foil, and bake another minute or two. I used my homemake applesauce (I like it chucky) and the taste was great. Makes very large nice muffins.

We loved the taste of these, but they were very dry. The streusel was delicious.

I made these for Easter brunch. While they were tasty, they were dry even thought I under baked them by a few minutes. I'll probably make again but add a little more of the applesauce.

By "all-purpose baking mix", do they mean like Bisquick? And I wonder if I put some fresh diced apples would make them moister? I hate dry muffins!
