- 4 cups dried apples
- 2 2/3 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
How to Make It
Combine apples and water in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 30 minutes or until tender. Cool.
Mash apples slightly, and stir in sugar. Cool filling completely.
Note: Flavor of stack cake is enhanced when stored for several days.
