Apple Crisp

Our version of this fall favorite.


  • 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Spice Islands Lemon Peel
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • Topping
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Spice Islands Ground Saigon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Spice Islands Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

How to Make It

  1. Mix apples, lemon juice, lemon peel, brown sugar and cinnamon together.  Spoon into 8 x 8-inch greased, shallow baking dish.  Set aside.


  3. Mix butter, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.  Stir in walnuts.  Sprinkle evenly over apples. 


  5. Bake at 375°F 35 to 40 minutes.  Serve warm.
