Bring sugar, butter, almond liqueur, and water to a boil in a small 1-qt. saucepan over medium heat, stirring often; reduce heat to medium-low, and boil, stirring constantly, 3 minutes. Remove from heat, and use immediately.
This is great with the pound cake it was created for (http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/amaretto-almond-pound-cake# ). Have not tried this glaze on its own/for anything else, but do make that cake with this glaze, you will not regret it!
