Almond-Tahini Shake

This shake tastes like sesame candy because of the tahini--a thin, ground-up sesame seed paste that can be used in the same manner as peanut butter. Look for tahini made of hulled toasted sesame seeds for the best flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons tahini (roasted sesame seed paste)
  • 2 whole pitted Medjool dates, chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup vanilla almond milk dairy-free frozen dessert
  • Sesame candy (optional)

Preparation

  1. 1. Place first 4 ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Add frozen dessert; process until smooth. Garnish with a piece of sesame candy, if desired.
