Whole almonds have more oil than slivered almonds, so if you use whole, you only need to process the butter for 2 1/2 minutes.

1. Place almonds in a food processor. Process 3 1/2 minutes, stopping once to scrape down sides. Store in a covered jar or other airtight container in refrigerator.
