All-Time Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is NOT the same as Tollhouse! Some very subtle differences, less butter and more flour make these cookies so soft and chewy, my Tollhouse cookies never tasted like this! I haven't been able to make cookies this soft w/o shortening, this one's a keeper! Same as Ultimate by SL, but this is a much better picture.

I'm in love! These chocolate chip cookies are the best thing on the block. They bake up perfectly and look "real"-- puffy rather than the great spread you get from break-and-bake. They're perfect all on their own, but I'm trying the white chocolate pretzel version next week. So good that I had to ship them to my fiance to get them out of my house.

I use the milk chocolate & peanutbutter morsels. The peanutbutter morsels give it a Butterfinger crunch.

I have been searching for perfect choc.chip cookie recipe for 6yrs. now looking for best gourmet recipes .. everything and this one is it! They are crispy around the edges, chewy in the middle. Finally! I followed direction to the T even when it came to mixing and I cooked em on the parchment lined sheet on rack in middle of oven for 12 minutes. 14 minutes would have been too long. Thank you for this magnificent recipe.. my family LOVES THEM!

I really like this chocolate chip cookie recipe! The first time I made them they spread a little thin so I used 1/4c. of butter and 1/2c. of crisco the next time and they turned out perfect!! This will be my go to chocolate chip cookie recipe!

Amazing cookies! we had run out of brown sugar and had to use a mix of unrefined sugar and black treacle. still, they were absolutely delicious and will definitely be added to our cookie recipes!

I have made these cookies several times adding pretzels. The cookies are DELICIOUS! I wouldn't make another type of chocolate chip cookie. People can not stop eating them. Just the right combination of sweet and savory. I continue to bake these for friends and family!

This is THE BEST chocolate chip cookie recipe. It's very easy to make and you can experiment with the mix-ins. I've gotten so many compliments on these.

I tried the pretzel variation and it was so delicious! I gave them as Christmas gifts and folks loved them. I will definitely make this recipe again - with or without pretzels, this is one extraordinary cookie.

I made this cookie recipe for my kids and they loved it!! My son helped me make them. It was very easy and quick. I WILL make these cookies again. We also used white chocolate chips with dark chocolate chips.

I made the variation with the crushed pretzels and was disappointed. The pretzels made the cookies taste dry and starchy.

This recipe is the same as "Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies" but the cookies look more like this photo except my cookies didn't look as perfect but the taste & aroma was awesome! I followed the recipe to a T. I will drop mixture by 1/2 a tablespoonful the next time as it really expanded quite a fair bit when in the oven & conjointed with the rest of the mixture. I will also bake it for less than 14 mins the next time as mine was a little too brown & crispy. I will try baking these cookies again.

Very disappointed! I checked on cookies at 11 min. and found ONE thin, flat sheet of cookies. Tasted bad, threw out! I'm not the best baker, so maybe I did something wrong.

It's good, but it is pretty much the exact same recipe as on the bag of toll house morsels! Come on people! Plagerism!

I thought these cookies were very good - and I didn't make any substitutions. I really liked them because they turned out slightly burnt on the edges and chewy in the middle. Just make sure to use parchment paper!

These cookies have potential............but are not worthy of a 5 star rating. If you like cookies that are more on the chewy, floury and not quite done texture.........then these are for you. I personally love a cookie that has a crunchy exterior with a modest chew factor in the center. They also hold up much better than the aforementioned being rated here.

my buddy's step-mother makes $80 hourly on the internet. She has been out of a job for 6 months but last month her paycheck was $8013 just working on the internet for a few hours. Read this site NuttyRich. Cöm

These are very good! I followed the recipe, except I used butter crisco and they did not flatten, but held there shape perfectly. I also added 3/4 cup of ground pecans. I let them cool on my silpat for 5 minutes before moving to wire rack. The only thing I would change is to add 2 t. vanilla instead of 1 1/2 t as I really like vanilla. This is a keeper, fast, easy, delicious cookies. What more could one want? Cookie baking hint - bake the first batch with only 2 cookies - this lets you check the timing and if necessary go back and adjust the rest of the batch to your taste. I overbaked a whole sheet once following the directions of the recipe. Now I know better and take the time to test.

This are awesome! I usually do a mix of white and semi-sweet morsels and sub 1 and 1/4 cups of whole wheat flour for the white flour. Nice way to sneak in a little extra fiber and no one knows they're "healthy!"

Pretty good, they were a little dry for my tastes but had a great flavor. They definitely did not turn out "flat" as is stated in an earlier review. And it actually made more than was stated.

These were great. I would definitely add a teaspoon of baking powder so they do not come out too flat and also put the dough in the fridge so that it does not stick much. This batter makes a lot of cookies.
